How ICON treatment works
ICON uses a technique called resin infiltration. Rather than covering the spot or drilling it away, a specially developed resin is drawn into the porous enamel of the white spot itself. Once set, the treated area scatters light the same way as the surrounding enamel — so the spot visually disappears into the natural tooth.
The appointment is straightforward:
- Preparation — the tooth surface is cleaned and a gentle conditioning gel is applied to the white spot
- Infiltration — the ICON resin is applied and drawn into the enamel
- Setting — the resin is light-cured, and the surface is polished smooth
No drilling. No injections. No healthy enamel removed. Most cases are completed in one visit, and you’ll see the result immediately.

Many patients come to us assuming veneers are their only option for white spots. Often, they’re not — and treating the spot itself is kinder to your teeth.
