Invisalign: Invisible Braces

Invisalign: Invisible Braces

Invisalign is among our most popular forms of treatment here at Seapoint Clinic. The reason? It is the most discreet way possible to get perfectly straight teeth without anyone even noticing you're having treatment. More often than not, patients are put off seeking out much needed orthodontic treatment at the prospect of wearing bulky, conventional metal braces. However, as Invisalign uses a series of clear aligners there's no need to opt for metal wiring. Instead, your custom made aligners are replaced every 2-3 weeks as your teeth a gradually shifted into the correct position.

Another added benefit of Invisalign is that they are completely removable, so you can eat, drink and brush your teeth as normal throughout your treatment. On average, Invisalign takes about a year to complete but can go quicker where there a fewer movements needed. Invisalign is common among patients of all ages, especially adults who may have undergone orthodontic treatment when they were younger but have found their teeth shift out of place over time.

I don't even notice I'm wearing it half the time!

Invisalign

Although the start of treatment can take some getting used to for adult patients, your mouth quickly adjusts to your new Invisalign thanks to their slim design. As we only use gentle pressure to guide your teeth into the correct position, you may feel like your teeth are slightly loose but this is completely normal. The explanation is quite simple, it's purely because the ligaments that are holding your teeth in place are being stretched and this sensation soon goes away when you complete treatment.
