Technical Costs of CT Scans

Technical Costs of CT Scans

A CT scanner is an extraordinarily expensive piece of machinery to purchase, service and maintain.

For instance, here is a link to the costs of a CT scan in the Blackrock Clinic, which is currently €280, http://www.blackrock-clinic.ie/emergency-department/what-does-it-cost/

However, we understand that having to pay high fees for CAT scans up front can be a significant barrier for the average person to try and learn about their problems and conditions and what can be done to solve them.

So, at Seapoint we postpone invoicing for our CT scans until you have had time to consider your options. If you decide to go ahead with treatment with us, we will discount the costs against the cost of your plan with us.

If you decide to pursue treatment elsewhere, we have decided to pursue a policy of not pursuing these invoices.

However, if you want us to make a copy of this CT scan to a disk for use in other clinics, which is absolutely your right, we do require that the original invoice is paid before we will copy this data for you.

When explained to people in full, most people understand this is an equitable solution to keep costs of treatment down for all of our clients.
