Tips for a whiter smile

Change your diet/lifestyle
Drinking coffee, red wine and smoking are all the main culprits, so if pearly white teeth are what you are looking for, then you will definitely need to cut back or avoid these as much as possible! Think about this- anything that stains a white t-shirt will stain your teeth eventually!
If you do wish to carry on smoking and eating and drinking the foods mentioned above, then remember to brush and floss afterwards and use a good mouthwash twice daily.
Change Your Toothbrush
Many people underestimate the importance of changing their toothbrush on a regular basis, with the build-up of bacteria and plaque from your tooth brush just being put straight back into your mouth. It is recommended by dental professionals to change your toothbrush, or toothbrush head if you have an electric tooth brush, every one to two months.
Use mouthwash and keep flossing
You’re probably tired of dental professionals telling you this, but it is a crucial part of dental hygiene. Use a good quality mouthwash, as recommended by your dentist or dental professional. Flossing is also just as important as brushing as it allows you to clean parts of your teeth where the tooth brush cannot reach. In fact, you do more damage to the long-term health of your teeth by not flossing than not brushing!
Brush at the right times of the day
It has been recommended by dental health hygienists that the best time to brush your teeth is at the start of the day and at the end of the day. Brushing in the morning will get rid of all the bacteria which have built up during your sleep. Brushing and flossing just before getting in bed will eliminate the bacteria in your mouth from after your daily activities, i.e eating, drinking and smoking etc…
If you follow these crucial tips, you will have pearly whites in next to no time and the compliments should start rolling in!
