What is Composite Bonding?

What is Composite Bonding?

Composite bonding is a cosmetic form of dental treatment which can help fill gaps, chips or fractures. This method of treatment uses a composite resin that is attached to your teeth to help improve the shape, colour and look of your smile.

What’s Involved?

Your cosmetic dentist will begin by selecting a resin that matches the colour of your natural teeth, you may want to opt for teeth whitening beforehand to bring up the brightness of your teeth. From here, they’ll coat your teeth with a liquid that will ensure the resin sets effectively. Your dentist then applies the resin and moulds it to the desired shape, before hardening it with a UV light. They will reshape the resin until it matches your teeth and looks natural, meaning you can leave with a brand new smile in as little as 45 minutes in some cases!
