How Will I Feel After Surgery?

How Will I Feel After Surgery?

How you will feel after dental implant surgery can vary widely depending on your individual healing and what procedure you had done. For example, if you had multiple extractions, implants and grafting you will likely need more recovery time than a single implant placed in good bone. For that reason it is hard to accurately predict how any individual will feel after surgery.

In general, people report to us that they are out of pain approximately 90% of the time within 3 days. Bruising and swelling can be expected to last about a week on average. Many people would expect to be back in work after a few days off. Again it is important to emphasize that there is a huge variation in how people feel after surgery and how long it takes to fully recover and get back to your normal daily duties.

At Seapoint Clinic, our aftercare is second to none and we strive to provide each and every patient with the utmost care and attention directly proceeding treatment.
